Ways that you can contribute

If you don't think you can do much to help the Project Darkstar Community, think again!  Following is a starter list of some ways that you might participate, with links that can help you get engaged quickly.  You can also find a list of outstanding tasks on the Project Darkstar Community To-Do List . And remember, you know better than anyone what someone like you needs from a community like ours, so if you want to do something not listed here, make your ideas known, or, better still, take the initiative and make them real!

Improve or extend the technology

file a bug

start or join a discussion about where you'd like to see the technology go

implement an enhancement request

create a new Darkstar manager or service


Help other developers

• create developer tools or utilities

• create, improve, or extend an example

• contribute a "how-to" document to our documentation collection

Get Involved

• use the currently available technology -- this is simply the best way to really understand what it can and cannot do today.

• become familiar with the current roadmap and use the forums start or join a discussion about it

• participate in the developer mailing list discussion and grab the latest code to start developing

file an enhancement request for some funtionality you need

• implement an enhancement you'd like to see on your own and contribute it back to the community as a project.
